A new Gallup poll released Tuesday, October 13, 2026, finds 43 percent of Americans view the Democratic Party favorably versus 35 percent for the Republican Party. Democrats also lead on handling the economy and keeping the country prosperous, three weeks before the Tuesday, November 3, 2026, midterm elections. Gallup also found that a majority of Americans still view the Democratic Party unfavorably, and that neither party has a broadly positive image.
