Robert Inlakesh MintPress News

Israeli Commanders warn their political leadership of a pending explosion in the occupied West Bank, while the United States unleashes a new economic offensive in a desperate attempt to pressure the Iranians to open to Strait of Hormuz. In the latest episode of The Target Mint Press News’ Robert Inlakesh breaks down why the regional escalation spells strategic disaster for Tel Aviv and Washington.

US President Donald Trump has announced the beginning of ‘Operation Economic Outcast’, yet another sanctions campaign aimed explicitly at bringing about “regime collapse” inside Iran, as US strategic petroleum reserves drop to their lowest level since 1982. Iran, meanwhile, has been putting the finishing touches on its Qom missile base, set to be the largest in the country, and rejected proposals to renew negotiations with the US government.

The United States only has 41 days of its strategic oil reserves left, meaning that it will have to start taking some extreme measures in order to try and solve the Strait of Hormuz crisis. Roughly 25% of the global supply is still offline. If you think that oil prices are bad now, they are about to get a lot worse. Something that no number of delusional claims from the White House that the Strait is open and is owned by Washington, will be capable of getting around.

Yemen’s Armed Forces have also sent a strong message to Saudi Arabia over their continued support for proxy militias inside the country. On Monday, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Yahya Saree, announced that they hit a Saudi mega-tanker with a series of ballistic missiles, destroying it off the coast of the Saudi port city of Yanbu.

Ansarallah also published 10-minutes of drone footage, showing their forces obliterating enemy troop gatherings and military vehicles with unguided bombs dropped from quadcopters. The footage reveals a high level of training amongst the Yemeni forces, who managed to successfully take out tanks, excavators, enemy hide-outs and more, with shocking precision.

The blockade is now tightening the noose around Riyadh, while a decision to escalate will only result in further ballistic missile and drone strikes on their oil infrastructure.

In this episode, Robert Inlakesh runs through the history of the Palestinian resistance factions in the occupied West Bank, in particular the groups – such as the Lions Den and Jenin Brigades – that emerged after the May 2021 unity uprising and where they are today. We look at why they were not able to seize the moment following October 7, 2023, and the predicament of the occupied population of the territory.

Israeli Generals have also sounded the alarm bell over a potential widespread escalation inside the West Bank, something they attribute to ever growing settler violence. Yet it is the Israeli army itself that is part of this problem, in this Monday’s stream the settler state within a state that is emerging is exposed, along with the weaknesses of the armed forces of Israel and why their defeat has become inevitable.
