In today’s episode of the Free Thought Project podcast, hosts Matt Agorist and Jason Bassler sit down with Sam Knight, the founder of MindlessHQ and creator of the Mindless app. Sam brings a wealth of experience from his years in the mental health field, where he realized a profound truth: fixing mental health requires the same disciplined practice—like meditation and intentionality—as fixing physical health. His work now centers on combating the modern epidemic of digital addiction, helping people break free from the algorithms that keep them endlessly scrolling and entirely disconnected from the real world. The conversation kicks off with…
Getting the story strait. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump said that a two-week ceasefire in the war in Iran was predicated on Iran fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global energy markets. So is Iran complying? Is the Strait of Hormuz actually open for transit? Here is what’s being reported. Hundreds of tanker ships are apparently waiting to cross through the strait, but the ships are unsure if they will be able to do so without being attacked, according to The New York Times. The Times also reports that only five vessels passed through the…
President Donald Trump warned Americans that gas prices may continue to increase through the midterm elections later this year. The war against Iran has caused substantial disruptions to the oil market. When asked about the possibility that gas prices will continue to increase, the President said, “It could be, or the same, or maybe a little bit higher, but it should be around the same.” After the US and Israel started the war against Iran with a surprise attack on February 28, Tehran seized control of the Strait of Hormuz. Most tankers have been blocked from leaving the Persian Gulf.…
The president’s fiscal 2027 budget is out, and I have two reactions. The first will sound familiar: Like so many budgets before it, this is not a serious effort to put America’s government on a sustainable path. The second is more important: It would be a mistake to dismiss it as just another unserious document. That is exactly how we got here. Start with what the new budget does and does not do. It’s not a comprehensive fiscal plan. It covers only about one-third of federal spending, focusing heavily on discretionary choices and largely ignoring the autopilot spending that drives…
Date of sighting: March 26, 2026Location of sighting: Warwick, Rhode Island, USASource: NUFORC This report just in. People were driving down the road in Warwick and saw a huge row of flying orbs flying in military formation. The objects were flying side by side and almost appear as a single huge wing craft. But when looking closer at the lights, it’s clear that they are separate crafts flying side by side. UFOs are appearing all over the world, trying to get the public aware and use to seeing them so that when they are introduced to the public, panic should be minimal. This is 100% proof…

In every country where the New Right has become a significant force, its foundational issue has been a “thick” notion of national identity. A nation, its partisans argue, is a body of people with a shared transgenerational attachment to a specific territory, a shared language, a shared history, way of life, set of customs, and so on. Which features are considered essential varies, but the worldview is clearly distinct from civic nationalism, which defines a nation as the people living under a common law and system of government in a particular place at a given time. This thick idea of…
In a 2007 video, retired General Wesley Clark described the moment, in the early days of U.S. operations in Afghanistan, where he learned of a Department of Defense agenda flagging seven Middle Eastern countries for destruction. Beginning with Iraq, it would proceed to Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran. This plan, idiomatic of the Washington establishment, is exactly what MAGA was supposed to counter, yet today we see President Donald Trump overseeing its finale and selling it whole-heartedly to his base. This administration understands it takes careful messaging to convince voters that war is necessary. Like the George W.…
A two-week ceasefire to the Iran War entered its fifth day on Sunday as President Donald Trump declared a full U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran closed the strait, a key chokepoint for global trade, shortly after the war began and has charged a fee for ships to pass through. In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump said the blockade would take immediate effect, ordering the U.S. Navy to stop all ships attempting to enter or leave the waterway. Trump threatened that “any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO…
Following a stint in Congress and as administrator of the Federal Transit Administration in the Trump administration, Marc Molinaro has launched a campaign for a New York state Assembly seat. Molinaro, a Republican, recently exchanged X posts with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, criticizing Hochul on her party’s record in office. Hochul posted, “I’ll keep working to lower costs for New Yorkers and put money back in their pockets.” Molinaro replied on Feb. 14, “You have driven NYers to the financial cliff! Highest tax burden in America, exploding electric & energy costs, leading in population loss.” You have…
