As my mother lay dying in the hospital, her eyes tired and her breathing labored, she told me that she had loved watching movies with my brother and me.  She said, in the days before her death from cancer at 79 in September 2023, other things to me, too, but not as many as one might expect. She was the most loving of mothers, but she sometimes struggled to express her feelings plainly. To do so at the 11th hour would not only have represented a reversal of a lifetime of her habits but, for her, a grim confirmation of…

President Donald Trump praised the rescue of two U.S. service members and declared victory in the war with Iran, while also threatening to take out the country’s civilian infrastructure if the countries don’t reach a deal by April 7 that includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The lights move about, but as they get closer to each other they light up brightly, then as they move away from each other they turn off the lights. Such behavior is unheard of for planes or helicopters and the close proximity of one another is too dangerous for aircraft. However UFOs often display this kind of behavior to keep track and even communicate through light pulses to each other. With President Trump…

In the decades before the Wright brothers historic 1903 flight at Kitty Hawk there were many claims of powered heavier-than-air flying machines. There were also many false sightings of “airships”, amounting to a form of mass delusion. But the false claims and false sightings do not change the fact that the technology for powered flight was right on the cusp, and that the Wright brothers crossed that threshold in 1903, leading ultimately to the massive industry we have today. This is not surprising. There is often a sense, in the industry and spreading to the public, that the technological pieces…

Most people in UFO circles are aware of the UFO wave of 1947 that, essentially, kick-started the Modern UFO Era, as well as the subsequent waves that followed throughout the fifties and sixties. Likewise, many are aware of the waves of airship sightings that swept the United States, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. There are, though, many other UFO waves, sometimes specific to a particular country, that have flared up since the second half of the twentieth century, all of which are as intriguing as they are unique.
