A recent Gallup poll has revealed that one in four adults, or approximately 66 million Americans, have reported using artificial intelligence tools or chatbot features to obtain more healthcare information. Whether it be researching a personal health condition or doing pre- or post-doctor’s appointment research, Americans are turning to AI for medical help. Is it O.K to Use AI for Medical Advice? It is almost a universal experience to go to the doctor and not have all your questions answered or to even just be nervous about attending a doctor’s appointment. These reasons and more are why almost 20% of Americans…
The future is never certain, but the Republican field is: the vice president is the 2028 frontrunner no one can afford to ignore. Source link
On Tuesday, Maryland Democratic Gov. Wes Moore signed over 270 bills into law. With public scrutiny focused on bills related to crime and immigration, several bills that expand government to address housing shortages and integrate AI into public education have flown under the radar. Here are five examples. Maryland faces a housing shortage of about 100,000 units. To keep pace with its growing population, the state would need an additional 590,186 units by 2045, according to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. At first glance, the Maryland Housing Certainty Act appears to be a fix to the issue…
Labour’s most successful former leader, Tony Blair, has just thrown a hand grenade into the stuttering Labour leadership race. In a five-thousand-word j’accuse, published by his Institute for Global Change, Blair criticizes the tax-and-spend orthodoxy of the current Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer while also excoriating the radical posturing of his wannabe challengers, Wes Streeting, the former health secretary, and the favorite, Andy Burnham, the mayor of Greater Manchester. Blair, who was the UK’s prime minister from 1997 to 2007, warns all three of them that their retreat into Labour’s “comfort zone” of high taxation and low growth will be…
Image by Koshu Kunii. An outreach mental health client of mine, years ago – I’ll call him Gregory – had (as a very young child) been beaten across the head by his step-father, molested multiple times by caretakers, slapped in the face routinely by his mother, and then, as the ultimate confirmation that reality had run astray, been told by his siblings that he had made up these allegations out of some spiteful delusion. Both his older sister and brother, Gregory, told me, had an intense, unshakable belief in the goodness of their parents. This left him broken, powerless, angry…
A ceasefire to the Iran War entered its 50th day on Wednesday as President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with his cabinet to discuss an emerging deal to end the conflict. Iran’s Tasnin News Agency reported Sunday that the first phase of the memorandum of understanding being considered to end the war would include the U.S. lifting its blockade of Hormuz and waiving sanctions on Iranian oil during the negotiation period, allowing Tehran to sell oil without restrictions. The deal also reportedly includes “an understanding in which the end of the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, is emphasized.”…
Perhaps with everything going on in the Middle East and gasoline prices rising here at home, President Trump was hoping the settlement agreement entered into between the Trump family and the Department of Justice last week would attract little attention. Unfortunately for congressional Republicans seeking reelection, that wasn’t the case. The roughly $1.8 billion fund is purportedly intended to compensate victims of the Biden administration’s “weaponization” of the Justice Department, a cohort that apparently includes those convicted of crimes after storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. President Trump’s “payout pot for punks,” as retiring Republican Sen. Thom Tillis…
According to Danish state authorities, there were no major foreign influence campaigns to speak of in the lead-up to Denmark’s March 2026 parliamentary election. Local fact-checkers and journalists tracked pro-Russian narratives and fringe propaganda channels, but nothing resembling a broad, coordinated campaign with significant reach emerged. Monitoring and analysis by Defense Innovation Highway and OpenMinds of part of the Danish online information environment during the campaign reached similar conclusions. Given the widespread reports of Russian election interference worldwide, it may seem surprising that Denmark, a NATO member and strong supporter of Ukraine, was largely untargeted. Examining the Danish election case,…
