Freddie Ponton21st Century Wire Hours after the Pakistan-brokered Iran war ceasefire took effect, Israel struck Lebanon again, killing scores of civilians and displacing tens of thousands overnight during major strikes on April 8-9, 2026. The Western press went silent. At least 1.2 million Lebanese have been forced to flee their homes since March 2026, building on nearly 900,000 displaced during the 2023-2024 crisis, while 87% of the population faces food insecurity and collapsing medical systems. No outrage, no front pages, just the familiar indifference to Israeli violence that characterizes Western media coverage of Israel’s war, while the British democracy promotion machinery quietly advances the same strategic…
A feature length documentary film, released in December 2025, has revived an oft-touted claim of strong evidence of the supernatural. On Monday, FBI Director Kash Patel filed a lawsuit against The Atlantic seeking $250 million in damages for an article the magazine published last week about Patel’s alleged drinking habits. The lawsuit claims that the publication had “crossed the legal line by publishing an article replete with false and obviously fabricated allegations designed to destroy Director Patel’s reputation and drive him from office.” The piece, written by Sarah Fitzpatrick, claimed that “Patel’s drinking has been a recurring source of concern across the government.” It reported that six current and former officials said that early in Patel’s tenure, “meetings and briefings…
Ukraine has launched a series of drone strikes at Russia, damaging warships and killing one person. On Monday, the Ukrainian intelligence service, GUR, claimed that drones destroyed two landing ships and damaged a radar at a Russian port in Crimea. Ukraine also attacked the Russian base in Sevastopol on Saturday. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that its forces had downed missiles and 274 drones over the past day. “Air defense forces shot down 6 guided aerial bombs, a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher projectile, a Neptune long-range guided missile, and 274 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the statement said. Russian officials admitted…
