UVA I would like to take this opportunity to announce that I will be a Visiting Professor at University of Virginia School of Law during the Fall 2026 semester. It is an honor to be invited to visit at one of the nation’s very top law schools. I know some UVA faculty already, and look forward to meeting more faculty and students while there. During that semester, I will continue to be an employee of the mighty Commonwealth of Virginia (both UVA and my permanent home, George Mason University, are Virginia state universities). I will also continue my work…

Iran is not some fragile backwater that will crumble under the weight of American bombs. It is a civilization state with thousands of years of continuous existence, a population of ninety million people, and a geography of mountains, deserts, and underground fortifications specifically designed to resist foreign subjugation. The notion that air power alone can decapitate its leadership, destroy its infrastructure, and produce regime change represents a fantasy that scholars have debunked repeatedly over the past century. Yet here we are, over a month into Operation Epic Fury, watching Washington learn these lessons the hard way. As of early April…

In reviewing the Supreme Court oral argument in Trump v. Barbara, in which the justices considered the lawfulness of President Trump’s anti-birthright-citizenship Executive Order, I was struck by an exchange in which a fairly obvious question seemed to catch the SG off guard. Justice Kavanaugh asked the Solicitor General about the extent to which Congress might have authority to modify the contours of birthright citizenship, and the SG’s response suggested he had never pondered this question before.  Here is the transcript of exchange: JUSTICE KAVANAUGH: Of what relevance, if any, do you think Section 5 of the Fourteenth Amendment has here…

The chances are that when most of us think of bloodlust or a desire for blood, particularly human blood, we might think about deranged serial killers with uncontrollable urges. However, in the world of the paranormal, whether it is strange, otherworldly entities, UFOs and aliens, or indeed people who assert their belief that they are, for all intents and purposes, vampires, we find this urge for blood more than many of might like to imagine. Moreover, much of this apparent bloodlust has connections to ultra-secret societies that seemingly operate hidden in plain sight, with members of these cults seemingly coming…

We are getting subjected to more and more toxicity, driving disease and humanitarian suffering to unprecedented levels. Big Government, instead of protecting us, are having a hand in making things worse. In retrospect of this, consider, the rising cancer rates. For instance, there are very concerning reports indicating higher abnormally aggressive colorectal cancer rates in young people… In spite of advances in healthcare technology, Big Pharma’s influence on regulatory processes is a major hinderance, favoring extremely profitable drug treatment models over more effective alternative approaches to cancer.  It has been known that throughout history a number of brilliant innovative pioneers…

On Feb. 28, the world learned that the United States and Israel had launched wide-ranging attacks on Iranian military and leadership targets. Tensions between the U.S. and Iran had been building for weeks, and prior to that, for decades. But the specific timing and the broad sweep of the military campaign caught many people off guard. At such a tense moment, fact-checking is crucial. PolitiFact and other fact-checking outlets around the world, including Agence France-Presse, Germany’s Deutsche Welle, Iran’s Factnameh, India’s BOOM, and Israel’s Globes’ Whistle, jumped in. On the war’s first day, PolitiFact investigated whether President Donald Trump was…
