International Man: Governments learned during COVID that populations will tolerate extraordinary restrictions if they’re sold as an emergency. Could an energy crisis become the next excuse for lockdown-style controls? Doug Casey: We’re looking at something much worse than another lockdown, as bad as that was. The big question is whether we’re now in World War III. I think we are. The US has increased its military budget by 50%, and is pushing the Europeans to double their military spending. The war in the Ukraine is ongoing, and the Europeans want to ramp it up further. Nor do I think that the current…
Currently, Democrats hold the inside track for the House and the outside track for the Senate. In horse racing and politics, where you’re running matters; however, it’s no guarantee of where you’ll finish. If there is anything that approaches being a “sure thing” in American politics, it’s that the president’s party loses congressional seats in midterm elections. Since 1926, there have been only three midterms where the president’s party did not lose seats in the House and Senate. With Bush in 2006 and Obama in 2014, the most recent administrations that faced second midterms, the president’s party lost an average…
A week ago, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the marketing of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) made by Glas, a Los Angeles company that specializes in devices that incorporate age verification technology. “The authorized pods include Classic Menthol, Fresh Menthol, Gold, and Sapphire,” the FDA noted. “This action marks the FDA’s first authorization of non-tobacco and non-menthol ENDS products.” That decision was significant because the FDA had previously frowned upon nicotine vaping products in flavors other than tobacco and menthol, viewing them as dangerously appealing to minors. It was also too much for FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, who…
America’s suicidal march began long before Donald Trump. He and the buffoons around him are the inevitable final chapter of the decaying empire. Live or DIY – by Mr. Fish. By Chris HedgesScheerPost Civilizations, as the historian Arnold J. Toynbee famously argued, “die from suicide, not by murder.” They collapse from within. They fall prey to moral, social and spiritual decay. They are seized by a parasitic ruling class. Democratic institutions seize up. The citizenry is immiserated, wealth is funneled upwards to the ruling class and coercion is the principle form of control. Our suicidal march began long before Donald Trump…
The Trump Administration has admitted the Biden White House’s constitutional violations and settled with me. Time to focus on Pfizer for its role in the 2021 conspiracy to silence the unvaccinated. Source link
New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul has recently promoted her policies on expanding affordable child care. Hochul has twice increased funding for the state’s runaway and homeless youth services. At a March 5 event, Hochul joined Christine Quinn, president and chief executive officer of Women in Need — a privately run group that is the largest provider of family shelter and supportive housing in New York City — to discuss connections between homelessness and child care shortages. Quinn — a former New York City Council speaker — said in a press release about the event, “Today, there are more children…

The Smart Dust project was funded by DARPA for military applications — specifically for rapid deployment of defense sensor networks onto the battlefield. Battlefield sensing is inherently about detecting people who don’t know they’re being detected. The invisibility and undetectability are deliberate design priorities. This technology appeared in the public with US Patent 11,354,666 B1, “Smart Dust Usage”, which was filed on May 26, 2016, and granted on June 7, 2022. It is assigned to Wells Fargo Bank and describes a system for authenticating a user making a payment using “smart dust.” Smart Dust is technically known as MEMS, microelectromechanical…
