A UN inquiry into the Israeli war against Gaza found that the IDF is targeting children.
“Israeli authorities and security forces have deliberately targeted Palestinian children, resulting in genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in the Gaza Strip and war crimes in the West Bank,” the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian said in a report released on Tuesday.
“The evidence shows that Palestinian children have been deliberately targeted and killed by the Israeli security forces,” said Srinivasan Muralidhar, Chair of the Commission. “Even after the October 2025 ceasefire, children continue to be killed and seriously injured, with continued disregard by Israel for the ceasefire and for the protection owed to Palestinian children under international law.”
The UN investigation found that over 20,000 children have been killed during the Israeli onslaught, accounting for about 30% of the deaths.
Israeli soldiers have admitted that they targeted unarmed Palestinian children. Additionally, Tel Aviv used the “Where’s Daddy” program that intentionally targeted suspected members of Hamas when they were at home with their families.
Top Israeli officials have regularly expressed genocidal rhetoric directed at Palestinians, often claiming that even the children are terrorists.
In addition to targeting Palestinian children, Gaza’s youth have suffered under the Israeli siege. Multiple doctors in Gaza have reported having to conduct amputations without anesthesia because Tel Aviv blocked medical supplies from entering the Strip.
